Matt Bower
Professor Matt Bower

Professor Matt Bower from the Macquarie School of Education specialises in the innovative use of technology for learning purposes. He’s intensely curious about how contemporary technologies, in particular artificial intelligence, can be most effectively used to enhance cognitive development and collaborative learning. He’s a world-renowned and respected expert in the educational technology field, having authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, written the award-winning book Design of Technology-Enhanced Learning, and led numerous projects and research initiatives. He’s contributed to the development of the Australian Framework for Generative AI in Schools, and he currently leads the educational technology subjects at Macquarie.

Dr Jodie Torrington

Dr Jodie Torrington from the Macquarie School of Education researches self-regulated learning in digital contexts, mobile learning and technology-enhanced learning. She’s an educator with more than 25 years of experience spanning primary, music and gifted education across Australia and New Zealand; and is an Honorary Fellow of the Teachers’ Guild of NSW.
