Professor, Dr Amin Beheshti

Professor Amin Beheshti is the founder and director of Macquarie’s Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence, the head of the Data Science Lab and the founder of the Big Data Society. Beheshti received the prestigious AI Academic/Researcher of the Year award at the inaugural Australian AI Awards in 2024. He was also a finalist in two additional categories: AI Leader of the Year – Enterprise and AI Rising Star of the Year – Enterprise.

Dr Yuankai Qi

Dr Yuankai Qi is a lecturer in Artificial Intelligence (AI). He has published more than 60 papers on top-tier venues in computer vision and artificial intelligence, is the winner of several international awards, and received an Australian Pattern Recognition Society ECR Award Honourable Mention. He serves as Area Chair for the International Conference on Learning Representations and the International Conference on Computer Vision.
